Joanne  Lodico (Indiveri)
LODICO, Joanne (nee Indiveri), age 87, of Lodi, died on July 25, 2014. Born in Bayonne, she lived there for 24 years, Garfield for 11 years, and Lodi the past 53 years. She was a book keeper starting her career at Bayonne Barrel and Drum for 15 years, Belmont Fence, Garfield for 15 years, and C & S Fence, Elmwood Park for 28 years retiring in 2008. She was a parishioner of Mt. Virgin Church, a member of the Rosary Society, Ladies of U.N.I.C.O., and the 20th Century Athletic Association Women’s Auxiliary, all of Garfield. She was an avid card player and singer, and during her high school years as a member of the school choir, she had the honor of singing for President Franklin D. Roosevelt at the Waldorf Astoria. She is predeceased by her husband Dante in 2000, and her parents, Mary and Donato Indiveri. She is survived by three sons, Jeremiah Hawkins and wife Norma, Daniel Lodico and wife Michelle, and Gerard Lodico and fiancé Kara Paige, two sisters, Frances Petrone and Marie Sinopoli, three grandchildren, Jacob, Sarah, and Lucian, and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting Sunday 2 to 7 pm. The funeral is Monday, July 28, 2014, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 9 am followed by a 10 am mass at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, Garfield. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Saddle Brook. The family is accepting donations for St. Mary’s Abbey, 230 Mendham Road, Morristown.
