DeBENEDETTO, Bertha (nee Shamah), age 87, of Saddle Brook, died on December 14, 2014. Born and raised in Paterson, she lived in Saddle Brook the past 55 years. She was a homemaker, a parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle RC Church, Saddle Brook, and a member of the Saddle Brook Senior Citizens and AARP where she was a former officer. She is predeceased by her husband Anthony in 1983, two brothers, Albert and George, and three sisters, Olga, Ann, and Sarah. She is survived by two sons, Anthony and wife Ramona, and Michael, and three grandchildren, Ashley, Dillon, and Meagan. Visiting Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral is Wednesday, December 17, 2014, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 8:30 am followed by a 9:30 am mass at St. Philip the Apostle RC Church, Saddle Brook. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Saddle Brook. The DeBenedetto family is in the care of the Aloia Funeral Home, 180 Harrison Ave., Garfield (973-340-7077). Condolences/Directions visit aloiafuneral.com
