Ciro "Charlie"  Scro
SCRO, Ciro “Charlie”, age 74, of Lodi, died on December 14, 2014. Born and raised in Marineo, Sicily-Italy, he lived there for 26 years and Lodi the past 48 years. He was the plant foreman at DorWin Manufacturing Co., Elmwood Park, for 43 years retiring in 2010, a parishioner of Mt. Virgin Church, Garfield, Past-President and member of St. Ciro Society, Garfield, and a member of the Italian-American Forum of Lodi. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Antonia (nee Amato), three children, Angela Trupia and husband Antonino, Francesco Scro and wife Denise, and Rosalba Leibowitz and husband Ira, a brother, Antonino Scro and wife Maria, a sister, Rosa Salerno, and eight grandchildren, Nicholas, Olivia, Julia, Victoria, Sarah, Laura, Anthony, and Ava. Visiting Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral is Thursday, December 18, 2014, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 9 am followed by a 10 am mass at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, Garfield. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Saddle Brook. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
