Obituary for Salvatore "Babe" Pennisi

PENNISI, Salvatore “Babe”, age 83, of Paramus, died on January 17, 2015. Born and raised in Garfield for 56 years, he moved to Paramus 27 years ago. He was a partner of the Midnight Sun in Garfield for 30 years retiring in 2002, a parishioner of the Church of the Annunciation in Paramus, a Bergen County Park Commissioner, and a member of the Garfield Elks. Babe is survived by his wife of 53 years, Margarita (Ribaudo), a son, Joseph Pennisi and wife Karen, a daughter, Christine Daley and husband Francis, and five grandchildren, Joseph, Noelle, Jessica, Maya, and Jason. He is predeceased by a brother, Paul Pennisi. Visiting Tuesday 4 to 8 pm. The funeral is Wednesday, January 21, 2015, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 10:30 am followed by a 12 pm mass at the Church of the Annunciation, Paramus. Entombment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Saddle Brook. Please omit flowers. Donations can be made in Babe’s name to the Margaret P. Muscarelle Child Development Center in Garfield or the Paramus Volunteer Ambulance Corps. The Pennisi family is in the care of the Aloia Funeral Home, 180 Harrison Ave., Garfield (973-340-7077).
