Obituary for Helen Lillian Lefebvre (Hook)

Helen Lillian Lefebvre (Hook)
Helen Lillian (Hook) Lefebvre of Country Lakes, Pemberton Township passed away at home under the care of hospice and her loving family on January 15th. She was peaceful, listening to her favorite music with her faithful dog at her side, as she passed away. Helen was 91 years old.

Helen was born in Bronx, NY to Julia (Gahir) and Carl Andrew Hook. She lived in New Milford and Old Bridge before settling in Country Lakes in 1987. Helen loved traveling, camping and the outdoors. While she was traveling, she would put her photography talent to use (both here in the US and Europe). At 86 years old she purchased a 28ft camper, so she could share this passion with her family. She had great interest in genealogy and was able to trace her family back five generations to a small town in Czechoslovakia. Throughout her life, Helen enjoyed music, antiquing, spending time with her grandchildren, and her great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Richard Lionel Lefebvre, along with her sister-in-laws Pearl Lefebvre, Muriel McRae, Helen Hook, and her brother-in-laws Stanley Guzek, James McRae & Charles Sullivan. Helen leaves her memory to be remembered by her brother John (Anne) Hook of Jacksonville, Florida, brother-in-law Bernard Lefebvre of Forked River, NJ, two sister-in-law’s Louise Sullivan of Runnemede, NJ and Estelle Guzek of Long Valley, NJ. She also had many nieces and nephews as well.

Helen is survived by her son Jeffrey (Donna) Lefebvre, grandchildren Eric Lefebvre, Sarah Lefebvre of Country Lakes and Michele (Justin) Newman, also great grandchildren Olivia and Carson Newman of Fort Mill, S.C. Also last, but not least her faithful companion and dog, Butchie the 6th.

In respect of Helen’s wishes, there will be no formal service held.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Drive Suite 300, Marlton, NJ, 08053 or Christian Caring Center, 378 Lakehurst Road, Browns Mills, NJ 08015
