KOZLOWSKI, Charles August, age 77, of Garfield, died on April 11, 2015. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he has lived in Garfield for the past 54 years. He worked in the maintenance department for the Garfield Housing Authority in Garfield for 18 years retiring in 2003, and previously, he worked in the trucking industry for Moon Carrier in Clifton. He was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War serving on the USS Boxer CV-21, and he was a member of the Teamsters Locals 641 and 560 of Jersey City. He is predeceased by his infant daughter, Lori Lee in 1959. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Kathleen (nee Krause), two sons, Charles Arthur Kozlowski and wife Veronica, and Mark Kozlowski and wife Lynn, two grandchildren, Lauren Kozlowski and Danielle Distel, four brothers, and four sisters. Visiting Tuesday from 4 to 7 pm with a 6:30 pm chapel service. Private burial at Lodi Cemetery, Lodi. The Kozlowski family is in the care of the Aloia Funeral Home, 180 Harrison Ave., Garfield (973-340-7077). Condolences/Directions visit aloiafuneral.com
