The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Michael Heck can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: Mike, so many great memories growing up. You were always the life of the party, always had a smile on your face. It was hard not to laugh around you. God bless you, may you rest in peace.

Condolence: Mike you were a great friend, a great person who loved life and family.

I remember all the times we hung out by the canal, the basement, by Lulu's, your house, going camping in 20 degree temps with snow on the ground in NY state up at Liberty, gathering wood and all of us having a great time around the bonfire.

I recall the time when Andy burned his boots because they were to close to the fire while trying to dry them out. It was things like that made it a great time, a fun time.

We probably knew each other from the late 1960's through Heck's bakery. Mom used to go there often and I used to go with her.

I remember working at Romano Lampshade in Passaic for a spell and then after work we all hang out. I remember the walks to Rutherford.

Music, man...we could talk about music. You always liked "Such a woman" by Tycoon from 1979. You always liked Deep Purple which might have been your favorite among many other groups. I remember you often played an 8 track tape of "Martian Boogie" by Brownsville Station.

Lets all celebrate your memory and your life through this most, very difficult time. Let your memory remain with us forever. We are most honored and very fortunate for having you come into our lives.

Knowing you always as a great person, a great friend as well as someone who loved life and his family who could always light up a room with your smile.

It has been an honor to have known you and we all seek solace in knowing we all shall meet again. And until that day, your memory will linger with us forever. Thanks for the great memories, and thanks for being a great friend.

Bill

Condolence: Words cannot express the sorrow at the news of the loss of Mike. Mike was one of those people in life that there is not one negative thought or memory of. He was the smile in crowd no matter where you saw him. The minute that you met him you felt as if you had known him your entire life. We will never forgot you Mike. Having you as a neighbor and friend was wonderful. Love, LeeAnn and Chris McGlynn
