His gentle and perceptive encouragement was key to my being able to focus on what was important, and he helped me start a career in a new field that was meaningful and exciting to me. He was a caring and compassionate man with a big heart and penetrating sense of justice. My deepest condolences to his family and friends at the loss of such a man - but my congratulations that you had the benefit of his love and life! He touched so many, and we were all blessed to know him.
