VALLELLANES-BOU, Hernan Cristobal, age 87, of Paterson, died on April 8, 2016. Born in Corozal, Puerto Rico, he moved to the United States entering the U.S. Army in 1947 assigned to West Point Military Base, serving in Guam and Japan before becoming a recruiter in Paterson. Upon his retirement from the U.S. Army, he was an insurance agent for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, and was a Singer Sewing Machine Salesman and repairman. He is survived by his wife, Daisy Torres, 11 children, Sister Maria Magdalena, CSSF, Herman Christopher Vallellanes, Richard Anthony Vallellanes and wife Charlotte, Deborah Lorraine Vallellanes-Melendez and husband Fernando, Aloysius Martin Vallellanes and wife Debbie, David Vallellanes Zambrana, Elizabeth Vallellanes, Louis Vallellanes, Luisanette Torre, Maritza Torre, Veronica Vallellanes Campos and husband Renzo Campos, 17 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his daughter, Peggy Ann Vallellanes and Cynthia Diane Vallellanes-LeFurge. Visiting Thursday, April 14, 2016, arriving at 9 am followed by an 9:30 am Rosary and Service. Interment Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Wrightstown. The Vallellanes-Bou family is in the care of the Aloia Funeral Home, 180 Harrison Ave., Garfield (973-340-7077).
