Joseph A,  Galtieri
GALTIERI, Joseph A., age 89, of Monroe Township, died on July 10, 2016. Born in Ossining, NY, he was raised in Garfield before settling in Monroe Township many years ago. He was an Army Veteran of WWII decorated with the WWII Victory Medal. After serving our country he attended college and graduated with his Bachelor’s Degree from Harvard University, a M.B.A. degree from New York University, a Bachelor of Law Degree form New York Law School, and passed the NJ Bar Exam in 1975. He started his career as the sales manager of Beaucraft Accident-Proof Stair Tread Company, Inc. in Garfield for 15 years, and then worked as a real estate lawyer 21 years for both the Chicago Title Insurance Company in East Orange, and then the American Title Insurance Company in Princeton, retiring in 1994. He was a member of the American Legion Post 522 of Monroe Township, a founding parishioner of The Nativity of Our Lord RC Church in Monroe Township, and a member of the NJ Bar Association. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Susana (nee Sanchez), a sister-in-law, Esther and husband Elio Alba, and several nieces and nephews. Visiting Tuesday 4 to 8 pm. The funeral is Wednesday, July 13, 2016, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 9 am followed by a 10 am mass at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, Garfield. Interment St. Nicholas Cemetery, Lodi.
