Obituary for Carrie Marie Brancato
BRANCATO, Carrie Marie, age 43, a lifelong resident of Rockaway, died on August 16, 2016. She was a volunteer firefighter for many years with the Rockaway Township Fire Company 4 (Birchwood), and currently the secretary of the fire company, and she was a volunteer with the Bell and Barter Children’s Theater in Rockaway. Beloved mother of Lucia Brancato, loving daughter of George and Linda Brancato and granddaughter of Maria Gebbia, dear sister of Aimee Brancato, Rebecca Demouth and husband Everett, and Joelene Malaret and husband Alexander, dear niece of Jodie Bunker and husband Aaron, and cherished aunt of 2 nieces and 3 nephews. Visiting Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral is Thursday, August 18, 2016, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 11 am followed by a 12 pm chapel service. Private cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Lucia Brancato Education Fund. The Brancato family is in the care of the Aloia Funeral Home, 180 Harrison Ave., Garfield (973-340-7077).
