Francesco "Frankie"  Di Salvo
DiSALVO, Francesco “Frankie”, age 88, of Lodi, died on November 27, 2016. Born in Bagheria, Sicily-Italy, he emigrated to the United States in 1958 living in Garfield for 10 years settling in Lodi 48 years ago. He worked as a team leader on highway construction for Sette Engineering in Paramus and Bar-San, Inc., in Hackensack for 32 years retiring in 1987, and he was a member for 55 years of the Laborers’ International Union of North America - Local 472 in Newark. He was a parishioner of both Our Lady of Mount Virgin RC Church in Garfield and St. Joseph’s RC Church in Lodi, a member of the Lodi Seniors, and the Bocce Club of Garfield. Loving husband of 61 years to Maria (nee Falletta), beloved father of Elvira Di Salvo, Jane Frank and husband Edward, and Anthony Frank Di Salvo, cherished grandfather of Daniel, Jacqueline, Edward Jr., and Nicole, and dear brother of Catherine Scalisi and husband Antonio and Maria Di Salvo. He is predeceased by his siblings Gaetano Di Salvo, Vincenzo Di Salvo, Francesca Gaipa, and Pierina Viscuso. Visiting Tuesday 3 to 7 pm. The funeral is Wednesday, November 30, 2016, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 9 am followed by a 10 am mass at St. Joseph’s RC Church, Lodi. Entombment Calvary Cemetery, Paterson.
