Obituary for Giovanna Castelbuono (Montalbano)

Giovanna  Castelbuono (Montalbano)
CASTELBUONO, Giovanna (nee Montalbano), age 85, of Garfield, died on January 28, 2017. Born in Sicily-Italy, she lived there for 17 years going to Argentina for 20 years before emigrating to the United States in 1969 living in Garfield the past 48 years. She was a seamstress for many years before retiring. She is predeceased by her husband, Castrenzio in 1986, and a sister, Bastiana Vella. Loving mother of Fred Castelbuono and wife Lori, and Rosalie Latona, dear sister of Lina DiMartino and Florencia Aresi, cherished grandmother of Patricia, Daniela, Gino, Victoria, and Brielle, and great-grandmother of Aden, Brian, Michael, and Gianni. Visiting Tuesday 4 to 8 pm. The funeral is Wednesday, February 1, 2017, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 10 am followed by a 11 am chapel service. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Saddle Brook. In lieu of flowers the family is accepting donations for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
