PROSPER, Alix, age 88, of Englewood, departed this life on February 27, 2017. Born in Jacmel, Haiti, he emigrated to the United States settling in Englewood in 1969. He was a physician at Lincoln Hospital in the Bronx before retiring, and a parishioner of St. Cecilia’s RC Church in Englewood. He is predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Jacqueline D. Prosper in 2016. Alix was an admired father to son, Patrick (Alicia Gordon) Prosper and daughters, Dominique Prosper, Sandra Prosper, Francoise (Raheem McMillon) Prosper, and Jacqueline Colette (Sean Sonderegger) Prosper. He leaves behind ten siblings, eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The viewing will be 9 to 11 am on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at the Aloia Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Cecilia's RC Church in Englewood at 12 pm, followed by a private cremation.
