Philomena Mary  Pokrowski (Giampetruzzi)
POKROWSKI, Philomena Mary (nee Giampetruzzi), age 89, of Garfield, died on March 13, 2017. Born in Garfield, she resided in Rochelle Park for 67 years before moving back to Garfield one year ago. She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart RC Church, Rochelle Park, was very active at the Garfield Senior Center where she attended daily, and a member, on the board of directors, and the membership co-chairperson of the Garfield AARP. She was a sales clerk for Lerner Shops in Paramus before retiring, and previously worked at Cornells Clothing in Paramus. Philomena was an avid Yankee fan. She is predeceased by her husband, Henry Stephen Pokrowski in 1988, her son, Stephen Pokrowski in 2016, and her siblings, Lucy Giampetruzzi, Carmela Ippolito, Clara Tummillo, Julia Lusciandrello, and Louis Giampetruzzi. Loving mother of Kenneth Pokrowski and wife Helene, cherished grandmother of Amy and husband Jason and Adam and Fiancé Alexa, beloved great-grandmother of Alexis and Harper, and dear aunt of many nieces and nephews. Visiting Friday 4 to 8 pm. The funeral is Saturday, March 18, 2017, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 8 am followed by a 9 am mass at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, Garfield.
