Obituary for Rosetta Torcivia (Tarda)

TORCIVIA, Rosetta (nee Tarda), age 88, of Elmwood Park, died on April 17, 2017. Born in Catania, Sicily-Italy, she lived there 37 years emigrating to the United States living in Passaic and moving to Elmwood Park. She was a parishioner of Mt. Virgin Church and a member of the Sacred Heart Society, a member of the San Pio Prayer Group in Hackensack, the Immaculate Conception Prayer Group in Lodi, and the I.L.G.W.U. - Passaic Local. She was a seamstress many years working for Malcolm Coat Factory in Passaic. Loving wife of 51 years to Antonino, beloved mother of Anthony Torcivia and wife Karen, and cherished grandmother of Nicholas, Andrew, and Matthew Torcivia. She lived for her family, grandchildren, and friends who brought her immense joy. She is predeceased by her siblings, Paolo, Giuseppe, Sebastiano, Salvatore, and Maria Tarda, Graziella LoPrinzi, and Paolina Catalano. Visiting Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral is Thursday, April 20, 2017, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 8:30 am followed by a 9:30 am mass at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, Garfield.
