PISELLO, Joseph (Giuseppe), age 92, of Garfield, died on April 21, 2017. Born in Marineo, Sicily-Italy, he lived there for 42 years moving to Garfield 50 years ago. He was a street foreman for the City of Garfield Water Department before retiring, was a parishioner of Mt. Virgin Church, a member of the St. Ciro Society in Garfield, loved playing bocce ball at 20th Century Field with his friends, and took immense pride of his flourishing gardens. Loving husband of 63 years to Carmela (Pernice), devoted father of Frances Jones and husband Bill, Maria Vitulli and husband Leonardo, and Frank Pisello and wife Bella, cherished grandfather of Nicole and husband Greg, Lenny, Jaclyn and husband Eric, Melissa, Patrick and wife Carlene, and Crystal, and great grandfather of Mark and Dean with one on the way. He is predeceased by his siblings, Ciro and Sam Pisello, Mille Spinella, Antoinette Maneri, Mary Marrone, and Rosa Condegni. Visiting Monday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral is Tuesday, April 25, 2017, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 8:30 am followed by a 9:30 am mass at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, Garfield. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery, Saddle Brook. In lieu of flowers the family is accepting donations for Mt. Virgin Church Maintenance Fund.
