Caroline  Scudillo
SCUDILLO, Caroline (nee Cencimino), age 84, of Garfield, died on April 27, 2017. Born and raised in Passaic, she lived in Garfield for the past 57 years. Caroline worked as a buyer for Betmar Hats in Passaic for 37 years retiring in 1998, and in her retirement, she was a teacher aide for the Garfield Board of Education working in the preschool from 1999-2005. She served three terms as a Garfield Board of Education Trustee from 1987-1998. She was also a parishioner of Most Holy Name Church, member of the Women’s Club, the Women’s Auxiliary of Fire Company 1, the Democratic Club, and a member of the Democratic County Committee, all of Garfield. She is predeceased by her husband, John in 2005, a sister, Rosalie DiGiovanni, and her two best friends and sisters-in-law, Ann Scudillo and Anna Di Minno. Loving mother of Susan Scudillo, and dear aunt of many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Visiting Sunday 4 to 8 pm. The funeral is Monday, May 1, 2017, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 8:30 am followed by a 9:30 am mass at Most Holy Name RC Church, Garfield. Interment St. Nicholas Cemetery, Lodi. In lieu of flowers the family is accepting donations for The Lindsey Meyer Teen Institute. The Scudillo family is in the care of the Aloia Funeral Home, 180 Harrison Ave., Garfield (973-340-7077).
