NEELY, Charles E., age 62, of Lodi, died on May 4, 2017. Born in Johnson City, TN, he lived there only a few months moving to New York, NY until he was one year old. He then lived in Garfield there for 43 years settling in Lodi 8 years ago. He owned and operated Sidewalk Safety in Saddle Brook working with the company for 20 years, and he was formerly a Sheriff with the Bergen County Sheriff’s Department in Hackensack. Charles was an avid New York Giants, Yankee, Rangers, and Knicks fan. Loving husband of 41 years to Angela (nee Caratozzolo), devoted father of Charles E. Neely, Kelly (Lyman) Neely, and Shawn (Janell) Neely, cherished grandfather of Kayla, Leeana, Anthony, Matthew, and Chelsea, and dear brother of Howard (Marge) Neely. He is predeceased by his parents, Madeline and Edgar Neely, and his brother, Rudolph “Sonnie” Neely. Visiting Saturday 4 to 8 pm with a 7:30 pm chapel service. Private Cremation.
