Obituary for Pietro Giammanco

GIAMMANCO, Pietro, age 82, of Garfield, died on July 5, 2017. Born in Villa Frati, Sicily-Italy, he lived there for 20 years emigrating to the United States in 1955. He then resided in Brooklyn for 14 years settling in Garfield 48 years ago. He was a printing machine operator for 33 years with Kohl and Madden in Lodi retiring in 2000, a parishioner of Mt. Virgin Church, Garfield, and a member of the St. Anthony Society, Garfield. Loving husband of 59 years to Santina (nee Lucchino), devoted father of Angelo (Deborah), Salvatore (Gina), and Rosalia Lowe (Michael), and adored grandfather of Matthew, Ryan, Nicolette, Peter, Alyssa, and Tyler. He is predeceased by his siblings, Salvatore Giammanco, Giuseppina LaBarbera, Rosalie Cuccia, Giuseppe Giammanco, and Toto Guagenti. Visiting Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral is Saturday, July 8, 2017, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 8 am followed by a 9 am mass at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, Garfield. Entombment St. Mary's Cemetery, Saddle Brook.
