Obituary for Jerald "Pete" Carpentier

CARPENTIER, Jerald “Pete”, age 74, of Paramus, died on September 29, 2017. Born in Colchester, Vermont, he was raised in Winooski, VT briefly living in Garfield before settling in Paramus 49 years ago. He retired in 2005 as the paper mill supervisor for Garden State Paper in Garfield working a total of 39 years with the company. Pete was a former coach with the Paramus Jr. Baseball League for 10 years and the Paramus Girls Softball League for 2 years. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Malvina (nee DeCillis), three children, Lawrence Carpentier and wife Katherine, Kevin Carpentier, and Kristen Wund and husband John, four sisters, Jacqueline Kobylarz, Jeanne LaRoche and husband Odillon, Suzanne Wilder, and Mary Morse, and eight grandchildren, Kaylee, Peter, Johnny, Julie, Kandice, Maggie, Christina, and Jack. He is predeceased by his brothers, Thomas and Charles. Visiting Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral is Wednesday, October 4, 2017, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 10 am followed by an 11 am mass at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, Garfield. Private Cremation.
