Condolence: I cannot put into words how unfathomable Uncle Jerry's passing is. It is with sad and broken hearts that we say good-bye for now, as I know we will all see you on the other side. However, the gift that we had in him all of these years and the incredible fun, hysterical loving memories he left us will never be forgotten. He will often be imitated as a form of flattery and laughter, but he will for certain never be duplicated. Uncle Jerry, you were one of a kind...truly one of the "good guys". I can write a list a mile long of all of the incredible memories I have with him - almost all funnier and more unforgettable than the next. One I will share... To my cousins, who will remember this, Larry probably more than anyone. He gave us our first taste of beer, when we were little kids, while we were sitting under the table where the dad's were playing cards at Uncle Nick's house. I think his plan may have been to shut us up and make us tired, but I don't think it worked that way! The rest as they say is history! One way or another he always took care of the kids and made us laugh. Yet at the same time, he was as honest and genuine as anyone I have ever met. I had a private conversation with him some 23 years ago just after I moved from New Jersey to the Chicago area. No one knows about this but him and I. All I can say is, he was genuinely supportive and told me in a way that only he could "Sometimes you just gotta cut the cord and get out. It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. Your life and happiness come first. You do what you have to do. Your family will still be here. You come and visit whenever you need to or want." These poignant words have stuck with me all this time. We can all take solace in the fact that we now have another family member watching out for us from up above." God Speed Uncle Jerry! You will always be loved and missed more than you could have ever imagined. Love Your Nephew Peter. Wendy, Matthew & Nicholas Cimino

Condolence: I'm so sorry to hear this. I have such wonderful memories of how Jerry helped my dad, Frank, with his escapades. It seems Frank was always conjuring up projects that Jerry had to finish...do....for him. My deepest condolences and love.
