BENANTI, Frances, age 77, of Garfield, died on October 4, 2017. Born in Bolognetta, Sicily-Italy, she emigrated to the United States at the age of 7 settling in Garfield 70 years ago. She retired in 2005 from the Bergen County Courthouse as a supervisor after working there for 38 years, she was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, Garfield, and a former member of the St. Anthony Society Women’s Auxiliary of Garfield. She is survived by her companion of 38 years, Antonino Lo Bue, her siblings, Vincenzo Benanti, Tina Saus, and Linda LaForge, seven nieces and nephews, and many great-nieces and great-nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, Antonino and Fannie Benanti. Visiting Sunday and Monday 4 to 7 pm. The funeral is Tuesday, October 10, 2017, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 10 am followed by a 11 am mass at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, Garfield.
