CHRISTENSEN, Elissa Lucy (nee Korth), age 84, of Wilimington, NC, passed away peacefully in the home of her daughter and son-in-law in Galloway Township, NJ on December 1, 2017. Born in Jersey City, NJ on October 31, 1933 to Frances and Theodore Korth, Elsie married Don Philip Christensen and together they raised three children in Oakland, NJ. For the last 32 years they enjoyed life in Wilmington, NC. Elsie was cheerful, loved life and was passionate about her family, quilting, and bingo. She was predeceased by husband of 62 years, Don Philip, Sr. She is survived by three children, Sandra (Joseph) Mendillo of Galloway Township, NJ, Don P.(Rosalie) Christensen, Jr. of Edgewood, MD, and Richard (Cheryl) Christensen of Allentown, PA, eight grandchildren, Darryl (Krista) Mendillo, Erica and Craig Mendillo, Kramer (Christine) Christensen, Alex, Ethan, Jennifer and Shane Christensen, and three brothers, Edward (Ruth) Korth, Theodore Korth, and Jack Korth. Elsie will be greatly missed by her family and friends, living forever in their hearts. The family is accepting donations for the Alzheimer’s Association.
