Obituary for Joseph B. DeSalvo, Sr.
DeSALVO, Joseph B., Sr., age 94, a lifelong resident of Garfield, died on December 12, 2017. Joseph served in the U.S. Army during WWII from 1942 - 1946 decorated with the WWII Victory Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, the Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, and the American Service Medal. Joseph was a lithographer for 40 years with the Amalgamated Lithographers of America Union - Local 1, NY, NY retiring in 1983. He is predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Dorothy in 2013. He is survived by two sons, Joseph, Jr., and Robert and wife Marcia, four grandchildren, Lauren, Nicholas, Megan, and Brenna, a great-grandson, James, and two siblings, Dominick DeSalvo and Connie Toth. Visiting Friday 5 to 9 pm. The funeral is Saturday, December 16, 2017, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 10 am followed by a 11 am chapel service. Entombment Garden of Memories, Paramus.
