WINKLER, Angela “Angie” (nee Ognibene), age 94, a lifelong resident of Garfield, died on December 24, 2017. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Sorrows Church and became a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church in Garfield. Angie was very active in her church community, and was a member of the Rosary Society, a lector, a bingo worker, a cafeteria worker at the school, and a secretary/housekeeper at the Rectory. In addition, Angie was a waitress many years at The Dayton Restaurant in Clifton, and was a babysitter 15 years in her home. She is predeceased by her husband, Joseph P. Winkler, Sr. in 1967, her siblings, Anthony and Ray Ognibene, and Mary Cirillo. She is survived by her loving daughter, Ellen Mensch and husband Glenn. The funeral is Thursday, December 28, 2017, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 9:30 am followed by a 12 pm mass at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, Garfield. Interment St. Peter’s Greek Catholic Cemetery, Garfield.
