GIUE, Maria, age 83, of Garfield, died peacefully July 22, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Marineo, Sicily-Italy, she lived there for 27 years settling in Garfield 56 years ago. She was a seamstress with the I.L.G.W.U. - Passaic Local retiring in 1976, a parishioner of Mt. Virgin Church, Garfield, and a former member of the St. Ciro Society where she was a founding member and secretary. She is survived by her devoted sister, Carmela Scaffidi, her loving sisters-in-law, Maria Giue and Giuseppina Giue, she was a cherished aunt of Rosalia Znutas (Joseph), Rosalia Zoino (Mario), Ciro Giue (Jaikish), and Attilio Giue (Mileah), and beloved great-aunt of Amanda, Briella, Danielle, Antonio, Gabby, Jack, Matt and Amelia. She is predeceased by her siblings, Salvatore, Giacomo and Rosa, Carmelo, Antonino, and Francesca Giue, her parents, Ciro and Rosalia Giue, her brother-in-law, Santo Scaffidi, and her nephews, Ciro, Antonino, and Ciro Giue. Visiting Wednesday 4 to 8 pm. The funeral is Thursday, July 26, 2018, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 9 am followed by a 10 am mass at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, Garfield. Entombment St. Mary's Cemetery, Saddle Brook. In lieu of flowers the family is accepting donations for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
