LaGRECA, Pasquale “Patsy”, age 93, a lifelong resident of Garfield, died on September 11, 2018. Patsy was a WWII Navy Veteran awarded with the WWII Victory Medal, American Theatre Medal, Asiatic Pacific Medal with 5 Stars, Philippines Liberation Ribbon with 2 Stars, and the Meritorious Mast. After the war, he worked as a truck driver 30 years with North Jersey Ravioli in Garfield retiring in 1990 and he belonged to the Teamsters Local 560, Jersey City. In his retirement, he worked as a school bus driver for First Student in Rochelle Park until he was 80 years old. He was a parishioner of St. Leo’s RC Church, Elmwood Park, and a former parishioner of Sacred Heart RC Church, Clifton where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Patsy also served 15 years as a volunteer firefighter with Garfield Fire Company 4, and he was a member of the NJ Exempt Firemen’s Association. He is predeceased by his wife of 67 years, Grace in 2015, and two siblings, James LaGreca and Josephine Revels. He is survived by his loving children, Diane Urban and husband Michael and James LaGreca and wife Lucy, four grandchildren, Richie Zang, Thaydra Perez, Talia LaGreca, and Daria LaGreca, 10 great-grandchildren, Vincent, Steven, Shannon, Stephen, Emily, Matthew, Isabella, Nicholas, Mia, and Avery, and his caretaker, Betty. Visiting Thursday 3 to 7 pm. The funeral is Friday, September 14, 2018, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 10 am followed by a 11 am mass at St. Leo’s RC Church, Elmwood Park. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Saddle Brook. In lieu of flowers the family is accepting donations for CTC Academy, 29-01 Berkshire Road, Fair Lawn, NJ.
