COMPESI, Ellen M. (nee Pettinato), age 59, of Garfield, died on October 1, 2018 surrounded by her husband and family. She was born in Jersey City and resided in Hazlet for 37 years before settling in Garfield 22 years ago. She was a Regional Sales Manager for G.L. Mezzetta Inc., California, and previously worked 8 years as a Sales Director at Snyder's-Lance in North Carolina. She is predeceased by her parents, Joseph III and Joan Pettinato, and her brother, Joseph Pettinato. She is survived by her loving husband of 21 years, James Compesi and his children, Ann Marie (Richard Bohan) Compesi and Jamie (Anna) Compesi, and many family and friends. The Memorial Mass will be 10:30 am on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, Garfield.
