The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Jorge Quinones can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Our Story

We met when we were around 13 years old, your Mom and Obby started visiting Passaic SDA church where I was a member.  You were the cute new boy that all the girls had a crush on.  You liked my best friend so we became fast friends.  You were such a sweet guy and a total gentleman, I knew then that you were the type of person I wanted to keep in my life.  You were so much fun, always up to some mischief, it seems like you got me grounded a lot!

Somehow our mothers conspired against us to send us to GSA (Garden State Academy) a Seventh Day Adventist boarding highschool in Tranquility, NJ.  We spent 3 wonderful years up there.  It was the best choice they could've made for us.  We studied, we worked, we got into plenty of trouble, through it all we continued to be true friends.  We learned to watch out for each other, you always told me the truth about life and I knew you always had my back.  Your advice saw me through my first serious boyfriend, the ups and downs of love and heartbreak... through it all you were a constant companion.  We even managed  get on "social" one... I blame that one on you and your affectionate ways. LOL

After graduation we stayed in touch for several years,I even remember meeting your wife and kids you were so proud to show them off.  You were a loving father, an attentive husband, an affectionate son, and a true friend.  When I married and moved away we lost contact for a while.  Until you found me on facebook and then we chatted again about how our lives had changed.  How grown up you sounded, it was like we'd never stopped being friends.

My memories of you will stay with me forever.  You leave a whole in my heart.  A truer friend I could not wish for.  You touched so many lives, you have left your mark on us.  My mother, sisters, and I will remember you with love and fondness, we will miss you.  I pray we meet again in heaven.  All I can say now is what you always said to me.....

See ya later baby!

Love,

Wendy Schumann
