Benjamin Zangara
ZANGARA, Benjamin, age 87, a life long resident of Garfield, died on December 30, 2008. He owned and operated Zangara & Brothers Fuel Oil Company, Garfield for 50 years retiring in 1995. He was an Army veteran of WWII and a a parishioner of Mt. Virgin Church. He is predeceased by his brothers Joseph, Leonard, Thomas and Vincent Zangara. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Sadie “Sally” (nee Manzo), a son Benjamin B. Zangara and his wife Eileen of Palmetto, FL, a daughter Carol A. Zangara of Alexandria, VA, 4 grandsons James Zangara and his wife Antonia, Jason Zangara, Andy and Matthew Dexter, and 4 great grandchildren Paige, J.T., Jase, and Tayler. The funeral is Friday, January 2, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home, 180 Harrison Ave., Garfield (973-340-7077) at 9:00 am followed by a 9:30 am chapel service. Entombment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Saddle Brook. Visiting Wednesday 2 to 6 p.m. Condolences/Directions visit aloiafuneral.com
