EKIERT, Stefan, age 68 of Garfield died on August 29, 2016. He was born in Poland residing there for 33 years before moving to Garfield 35 years ago. He was contractor operating his own business and a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Kostka RC Church, Garfield. He is predeceased by his wife Zofia in 2002. He is survived by his son Adam and his wife Monika, a brother Zbigniew Ekiert, a sister Grazyna LaPierre and one grandchild. Visiting for the Ekiert family will be Thursday, September 1, from 4 to 8pm at the Aloia Funeral Home, 180 Harrison Ave., Garfield (973-340-7077). The funeral is Friday, September 2, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 8:30am followed by a 9:30am mass at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Saddle Brook.
