EMMOLO, Pietra (nee Sclafani), age 66, of Garfield, died on April 30, 2017. Born in Misilmeri, Sicily-Italy, she lived there for 21 years, Lodi for two years, Paterson for 17 years, before settling in Garfield 26 years ago. She was a seamstress for many years, then stayed home to take care of her family. Pietra was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, Garfield, and a member of the San Pio Prayer Group of Garfield. Loving wife of 42 years to Tommaso, devoted mother of Giuseppe Emmolo and wife Melissa, Annamaria Cruz and husband Braulio, and Rosangela Emmolo, cherished grandmother of Brianna, Natalie, Braulio, and Katarina, and dear sister of Rosa Malleo and Maria Malleo. She is predeceased by her sister, Angela Borgese. Visiting Wednesday and Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral is Friday, May 5, 2017, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 8 am followed by a 9 am mass at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, Garfield. Entombment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Saddle Brook.
