Obituary for Stephen D. Charlop

CHARLOP, Stephen D., age 79, of Paramus, died on May 3, 2017. Stephen was born and raised in the Bronx where he lived for 27 years before moving to New Jersey. He lived in Hackensack for four years before settling in Paramus 48 years ago. After serving in the U.S. Army from 1961-1965, Stephen worked as a controller for 34 years until his retirement in 2006 from Wind Turbine & Energy Cables Corporation in Fort Lee. He also was an avid walker and loved Dixieland Jazz. Loving husband of 52 years to Juana (nee Miranda), devoted father of Julie Liverance and husband David, and Sara Santiago and husband Paul, cherished grandfather of Daniel and wife Loren, Abigail, and Corinne, and dear brother of Lenore Rosen. He is predeceased by his parents Benjamin and Ethel Charlop. All services were privately held by the Aloia Funeral Home, 180 Harrison Ave., Garfield (973-340-7077).
