Obituary for Mirko Nemec
NEMEC, Mirko, age 71, of Garfield, died on August 17, 2017. Born in Yugoslavia, he lived there for 26 years emigrating to the United States in 1971. He then resided in Wallington, New Jersey for 21 years, settling in Garfield 24 years ago. He was a warehouse manager for the Intercon Furniture Company in Lincoln Park, New Jersey for 10 years, retiring 5 years ago. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years to Milena (nee Topolnik), devoted son Emil and his wife Carrie-Anne Lyons, and three sisters Marija Resnik, Angelca Skrbin, and Rosina Novinščak. He is pre-deceased by two sisters, Jelena Jambrovic and Terezija Stamar, and three brothers, Anton, Joze, and Lojze Nemec. Visiting, August 22, 2017, Tuesday from 4 pm to 7pm at the Aloia Funeral Home, 180 Harrison Ave., Garfield (973-340-7077) with a 6 pm service. Private cremation.
