JOHANNEMANN, Jack age 73 of Garfield on September 1, 2009. He was born in Paterson, raised in both East Rutherford and Wallington, settling in Garfield 33 years ago. He was supervisor section head and cost account manager for ITT Avionics Division, Clifton for 34 years retiring in 1994. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War, a parishioner of Most Holy Name Church, and a member of the Usher society. He also belonged to the Quartermaster Epochs Drum & Bugle Corp, Garfield, City of Garfield Housing Authority Commissioner for 9 years and a 2 term Chairman, member of the Garfield Memorial Day Parade Committee 2003-present,
member of the Bergen County Republican Committee, and a volunteer with Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry, Garfield. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Vera (nee Graziano), a son Jack and his wife Deborah, and a granddaughter Kayleigh. The funeral is Friday, September 4, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home, 180 Harrison Ave., Garfield (973-340-7077) at 8:30 am followed by a 9:30 am mass at Most Holy Name RC Church, Garfield. Entombment St. Nicholas Cemetery, Lodi. Visiting Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family is accepting donations for Most Holy Name Church.
