Obituary for Joseph A. Hoffman
HOFFMAN, Joseph A., age 64, of Oradell, died on December 3, 2017. Born and raised in Jersey City for 18 years, he lived in Garfield 26 years before settling in Oradell last year. Joseph was a bus mechanic 20 years with NJ Transit in Maplewood retiring in 2013, and he was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Virgin RC Church, Garfield. He is predeceased by his son, Timothy James in 1986. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Nancy A. (nee Perone), five children, Joseph A. Hoffman, Jennifer Kantor, William A. Hoffman, Christopher J. Hoffman and wife Rosanny, and Brittany J. Hoffman, and two grandchildren, Gavin Joseph and Austin Christopher. Visiting Wednesday 4 to 8 pm. The funeral is Thursday, December 7, 2017, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 10 am followed by a 11 am mass at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, Garfield. Private Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers the family is accepting memorial gifts. The Hoffman family is in the care of the Aloia Funeral Home, 180 Harrison Ave., Garfield (973-340-7077).
