Obituary for Charles Lusciandrello

LUSCIANDRELLO, Charles, age 97, of New Milford, died on January 31, 2018. Born and raised in Garfield for 40 years, he lived in Rochelle Park before settling in New Milford 32 years ago. He was an Army Veteran of WWII who fought in the Battle of the Bulge, proudly serving as a Forward Observer and decorated with the American Theater Service Medal, WWII Victory Medal, European African Middle Eastern Service Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal, and he was a pattern maker for over 45 years retiring in 1992 from R & K Originals, NY, NY. He was a member of the Rochelle Park American Legion Post 170, and the I.L.G.W.U. - NY, NY Local. Charles is predeceased by his first wife, Julia in 1982, and his siblings, James Lusciandrello and Mary Marotta. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Margaret (nee Dimig), two step-children, Laureen Haight and husband David, and John Russo and wife Lisa, cherished grandchildren, Christina, Jeffrey, Jack, and Cole, a beloved sister, Sarah Scillieri, dear uncle of Patricia, Marilyn, Carleen, Kenneth, Richard, David, Grace, Donna, James, Maryann, Carmen, Vito, and many grand nieces and nephews. Everyone will meet at the church for a 10 am funeral mass on Tuesday, February 6, 2018, at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, Garfield. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Saddle Brook. In lieu of flowers the family is accepting donations for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
