GYORKOS, Regina “Gene” (nee Maronese), age 95, of Garfield, died on March 30, 2018. Born in San Michele di Piave, Italy, she lived there 24 years emigrating to the United States in 1946. She then lived in Passaic for 4 years settling in Garfield 67 years ago. Gene was a parishioner of Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Garfield, and a hat maker 23 years with Grossman and Company in Passaic retiring in 1972. She is predeceased by her husband, Frank in 1997. Loving mother of Florence Terzariol, cherished grandmother of Jennifer Terzariol and fiancé James Happel, adored great-grandmother of Tiffany Marie and Nicholas, and dear sister of Bernarda Lara. Visiting Tuesday 3 to 7 pm. The funeral is Wednesday, April 4, 2018, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 10 am followed by a 11 am mass at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, Garfield.
