BANEKY, Joseph John, age 65, of Garfield, passed away peacefully from stroke complications on March 30, 2018 at Hackensack University Medical Center. Born in Passaic, he lived in Wallington for over 40 years settling in Garfield 28 years ago. Joseph was a laborer 37 years with local construction companies, including Jericho Homes in Wallington, retiring in 2008. A loving father, brother, uncle and friend to many, Joseph is survived by two brothers, Thomas and wife Darlene, and Robert, a daughter Chrissy, and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his wife Barbara in 1992, a brother, Paul H. Baneky, a nephew, Nicholas Baneky, and his parents, Paul and Wanda Baneky. A Memorial Mass will be offered at 7 pm on April 27, 2018 at Most Sacred Heart of Jesus RC Church, Wallington. Arrangements by the Aloia Funeral Home, Garfield.
