Obituary for Angelina "Angie" Battista

BATTISTA, Angelina "Angie", age 94, of Garfield, died on July 23, 2018. Born and raised in Jersey City, she lived there for 31 years settling in Garfield 63 years ago. Angie was a lamp fitter 42 years with Lightolier Company in Jersey City retiring in 1984, a parishioner of Mt. Virgin Church, Garfield, a member of the Garfield Golden Agers and AARP, and a 75 year member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Worker's Union. Angie is predeceased by her parents, Giovanni and Michelina (Petrizzo) Battista, a sister, Rose Calandriello, and a brother, Dominick Battista. She is survived by her devoted and loving nieces and nephews who adored her, John Battista and wife Donna, Paul Calandriello and wife Millie, and Michelina "Mickey" Calandriello, her great-nieces and great-nephews, Melissa Monaco and husband Jason, Breanne Gildersleeve and husband Travis, and John Battista and fiance Barbara Esposito, and a dear sister-in-law, Genevieve Battista. The Memorial Mass will be 11 am on Saturday, August 4, 2018, at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, Garfield.
