Aunt Becky got me through a *lot* of hard times in high school; there were times I considered giving up.
Yet there was Aunt Becky, ready every morning at 6:00 AM, ready for our coffee chats accompanied by breakfast (usually mandarin oranges and yogurt). I looked forward to those times more than I can express.
Over the years, our routines changed, but we tried to have coffee together each day. I will miss her jokes and wise words ("Well, he sounds like a jerk!") about relationships, life experiences, and fond memories.
Since she passed, I cried over the coffee pot more than once, but I know now she is here with me (as I type this) to say, "Go, Jess, go!"
