Obituary for Edward Maceyak, Jr.

MACEYAK, Edward Jr., age 48, of Flanders, NJ, died on October 20, 2018. Born in Passaic, he resided in Garfield 29 years moving to Flanders 19 years ago. He was a mechanic the past 30 years, first with Union Camp in Clifton, and currently with the United Parcel Service, Saddle Brook, for the past 15 years. He was a parishioner of St. Jude's R.C. Church, Budd Lake, he was a member of the NJ Exempt Firemen's Association, and formerly a 11 year member of the Garfield Volunteer Fire Department - Company 5 where he was an Engineer, the Garfield Volunteer Ambulance Corps where he was a Second Lieutenant, and the Garfield Special Police. He is survived by his loving wife of six years, Soraya (nee Garcia), four cherished children, Daniella N. Maceyak, Gianna Noelle Maceyak, Ava Marie Maceyak, and Luis Jose Maceyak, his devoted mother, Frances Maceyak (nee DiPiazza), two dear siblings, Deborah Ladin (Philip), and Brian Maceyak, his adored Goddaughter and niece, Jacqueline, and dearest niece and nephew, Steven (Jessica) and Briana. He is predeceased by his father, Edward Maceyak, Sr. in 2017. Visiting Tuesday 5 to 9 pm. The funeral is Wednesday, October 24, 2018 arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 10 am followed by a 11 am mass at Sacred Heart RC Church, Clifton. Interment Calvary Cemetery, Paterson. In lieu of flowers the family is accepting donations for his children's education fund. The Maceyak family is in the care of the Aloia Funeral Home, 180 Harrison Ave., Garfield (973-340-7077).
