OSIFCHIN, Edward, age 86, of Clifton, died on November 5, 2018. Born and raised in Passaic for 19 years, he lived in Clifton before going into the Army from 1952 to 1954. He then lived in Garfield 21 years settling in Clifton 41 years ago. Edward worked over 35 years for Singer Kearfott in Totowa retiring in 1992 as a logistic manager. He was a parishioner of Mt. Virgin Church, and he was a member of the Garfield VFW Post 2867. He is predeceased by his wife, Maryann (nee Marchegiani) in 1986, and his siblings, John Osifchin and Olga Weisser. He is survived by his two loving children, Edward Marc Osifchin and wife Margaret and Judy Milza and husband Paul, a brother, Nicholas Osifchin and wife Ruth, and a sister, Dorothy Crowley, four cherished grandchildren, Christopher, Alexander, Danielle, and Luke, and his companion, Ernestine Rettino. Visiting Wednesday 4 to 8 pm. The funeral is Thursday, November 8, 2018, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 8 am followed by a 9 am mass at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, Garfield. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Saddle Brook. In lieu of flowers the family is accepting donations for the Garfield VFW or a charity of your choice.
