SZIEDER, Pauline “Paula” (nee Wrublevski), age 94, of Garfield, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2018. Born and raised in Passaic for 23 years, she settled in Garfield 71 years ago. Paula spent many years working in the textile industry with both Forstmann Mills and United Wool until retiring to spend more time at home with her husband John. Many days were spent on the front porch reminiscing about old friends, dancing at the Presidents Palace and visiting with neighbors. She could be seen each day entertaining the neighborhood children with her ever present cats that always seemed to end up by her side on the front porch. Paula had a warm and generous heart, endeared herself to everyone she met, and will be greatly missed by her family and friends as well as her long time favorite feline companion, Blackie. She was a parishioner of St. Michael the Archangel Cathedral in Passaic. She is predeceased by her loving husband of 67 years, John in 2015. Paula is survived by her daughter, Paulette Szieder-White and son, John Jr. of Garfield, two grandchildren, Maile White and Starr White-Kennelly along with three great-grandchildren, Joe, Kiana and Leon. Visiting Saturday 12 to 4 pm with a 1 pm funeral service. Private cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
