BLACK, George Burns, age 88, of Washington Township, died peacefully on Wednesday, November 21, 2018, at the Allendale Nursing Home in Allendale, NJ. George was born on June 19, 1930 in Pequannock, NJ, to George and Edna Black. He graduated from Weehawken High School in 1947. He married Jean Black, his high school sweetheart, on September 11, 1949. From the time he was 19 years old, George always worked in the garment industry, ultimately being a partner in a pattern making business. Upon retiring in 1991, Jean and George moved to Harwich, MA, where they spent 23 years enjoying Cape Cod. George is survived by his sons Steven and William and their spouses Dale and Bobbie, four grandchildren, Elliot Black and his spouse Rae Steil, Antarctica Stephanie Black and her spouse Florent Porcher, Christopher Black, and Danielle Black, one great-granddaughter, Kestrel Black, and one great-grandson, Elden Black.
