Richard J. Tkach, Jr., age 53, a lifelong of Garfield, died on December 1, 2018. He is survived by his caring wife Amanda LaVia, loving daughter, Alisha Nia Tkach-Middleton and husband Sergeant Kiely, and a stepson, New York State Trooper Nicholas LaVia and wife Lucy and grand children Charlie and Henrik Anthony. He is also survived by two beloved sisters, Anna Lee Britt and Michele Romano, a niece, Lane Silk, and two nephews, Private First Class Paul Boyko and Doctor Nicholas Boyko.
