Eric Joseph Magnusson, 60, of Aberdeen, N.J., left this world to go treasure hunting in the sky after a courageous battle against everything, including the kitchen sink, on Jan. 8, 2019. Eric was born and raised in Livingston, N.J., by his parents, Art and Patricia Magnusson. Eric was part founder and co-owner of the original and legendary Rascals Comedy Club. A favorite to all for his laid-back attitude, he once said, "I've never been late once in my life, the time I arrive is when I'm meant to be there." Eric had a passion and love for many things, however, none more than for his beloved family. Eric was predeceased by both of his parents. He is survived by his loving wife, Ellen; children, Mark and Melissa; brothers and sisters, Mark and Cathy, Guy and Angela, Drew and Lynn, Ward and Judy, John, and Vicki. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, Wyatt, Mary, Matthew, Alison, Justine, Lauren, Kevin, Dawn, Jessica, Chris, Alex, Ryan, Tyler, Kateri, Lucas, and Logan, and his four great-nieces and nephews, Robert, Kammi, Kylee, and Brantley and his fur buddy, Rusty. Since Eric was no slave to fashion a "come as you are" celebration of his life will be held at the Sheraton Parsippany on Saturday, January, 12, 2019, from 2 to 6 p.m. Given Eric's disdain for flowers, please consider a donation to The Summit Medical Foundation as an alternative.
