DAVIS, Rosalie (nee Benanti), age 79, of Elmwood Park, passed away on January 18, 2019. She was born and raised in Garfield for 51 years settling in Elmwood Park 28 years ago. Rosalie was the secretary to the principal 39 years at Garfield High School retiring in 2006, she was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, Garfield, and a member of the Rosary Society and the Garfield AARP. Rosalie was a devoted and caring wife of 46 years to her late husband, John E. Davis who passed in 2016, and she is predeceased by her parents Charles and Nettie Benanti. She was a loving mother to her son John and wife Valerie, cherished Grandma to her two granddaughters, Ashleigh and Jenna, and a dear sister of brother Sal Benanti and wife Karen. She is also survived by her nieces, Jodi, Sally, and Tracy with their husbands, as well as many friends. Her memory will live in our hearts forever. Visiting Monday 3 to 7 pm. The funeral is Tuesday, January 22, 2019, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 9 am followed by a 10:30 am mass at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, Garfield. Private Cremation.
