Obituary for Giuseppe DiSalvo

DiSALVO, Giuseppe, age 74, of Saddle Brook, died on February 28, 2019. Born in Marineo, Sicily-Italy, he lived there for 20 years and Garfield for 14 years settling in Saddle Brook 40 years ago. He co-owned and operated American Fence Company in Saddle Brook for 30 years retiring in 2012, he was a parishioner of Mt. Virgin Church, Garfield, a member of the San Pio Prayer Group and St. Ciro Society in Garfield, he volunteered with Meals With A Mission in Garfield, and was a former member of Garfield UNICO. Giuseppe is predeceased by a sibling, Sister Ausilia DiSalvo. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Maria (nee D’Angelo), three beloved children, Antonella Guttilla and husband Rosario, John DiSalvo and wife Michelle, and Fara DiSalvo and Fiancé John Simpatico, a dear sister, Concetta LoPinto, and five adored grandchildren, Anthony, Alessia, Cristian, Joseph, and Giuliana. Visiting Sunday 3 to 7 pm. The funeral is Monday, March 4, 2019, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 10 am followed by a 11 am mass at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, Garfield. Entombment St. Mary's Cemetery, Saddle Brook. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Giuseppe’s name to the American Cancer Society.
